hello friends! i hope you are all enjoying all that summer has to offer. michigan is one of those places where everyday in the summer is absolutely perfect. (the winter is a bit of a different story, but let's not get into that!) yesterday was one of those perfect days. it began with a picnic by the river with a delicious chorizo frita+ fries and a ginger lime soda from frita batidos in downtown ann arbor. the picnic was followed by a canoe trip down the huron river, it was all oh so lovely and perfect! nearly 3 minutes into our canoe ride, our canoe tipped, and we found ourselves drenched in the river struggling to recover our oars and canoe while laughing wildly. i made it out with a few scrapes and bruises and a soaked iphone so i couldn't snap photos of the gorgeous scenery during our trip to show you guys, but trust me it was simply marvelous. i love michigan!!!
to my fellow ann arbor residents: if you are looking to have a wonderful summer day tomorrow, you can begin by taking a canoe trip down the huron and end your evening with the sounds of our fellow midwesterner briar rabbit. he will be performing at the crazy wisdom tea room (one of my fav places in aa, delicious selection of teas, books, and other nook-filling items) tomorrow at 8PM. its a FREE show, and all ages are welcome. you can check out his music here
